Weekend Chronicles #3 + Update

Hi everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, spent time with the people who make you happy, ate good food and did all the other fun things people do on Christmas day.

I’ve been so busy and this is the only time I’ve had to just sit down and write a post so I apologize in advance for how rushed it might turn out. This post will be the third in my Weekend Chronicles Series but it’ll also double as a short update on what I’ve been up to so without further ado, let’s get started!

All through last week, I was cleaning my entire house and helping my mom get ready for the Christmas party I mentioned in the first and second entry in this series. Her birthday was also on the 22nd so I was getting ready for that as well.

I took a bunch of selfies on snapchat with the filters first of all (lol surprise, surprise. I’m obsessed with the flower crown filter) and then I had till about 4pm to get ready for my mom’s birthday so using this recipe, Trevor and I baked some cinnamon rolls for her. I always use that recipe and I recommend checking it out if you ever want to make some because it’s never not come out looking and tasting delicious!

By the time we were done baking and cuddling (while waiting for the oven to beep, of course), it was already about 2pm ish so we went to pick up the cake my sister and I ordered from the best bakery I’ve ever been to in my life (it sounds really exaggerated but I swear, it was that amazing). If, for some reason, you want to know the name of the bakery, just email me and I’ll tell you! I don’t really like putting locations on my blog, for privacy reasons (and paranoia lmao). I tried taking nice pictures of the cakes but the lighting was horrible and some lady was in my way and I was literally just like ‘hello?? do you or do you not see me trying to take pictures for my blog?’. I wasn’t going to include the pictures but I just really want to share how yummy it looks so bear with me, guys!

It tasted so so good! I don’t usually like ‘regular’ cakes (because my fav is icecream cake) but cakes from this bakery are definitely an exception!

Anyway, after picking up the cake, we went on a number of errands. First, we got some subs from Subway, picked up some Chinese fried rice, bought her flowers and then came home to set up everything. Long story short, she was so happy and surprised with everything we did. It felt really good to be able to do something for her, rather than vice versa. After opening gifts, my mom, Serena, Trevor, my mom’s friend and I just watched a funny movie together on Netflix and it was a day well spent!

Trevor stayed over till like early morning so I slept and stayed in bed basically the whole day (lol literally all I do anyway). I was supposed to work a 5-close shift but it got cancelled so that was great. Instead, I stayed in bed and watched more episodes of Gilmore Girls on Netflix and also played Toy Blast on my phone all day. This is pathetic but I’m actually so obsessed with the game. I started late last week and I’m already on level 105 (I need a life tbh).

I didn’t work like I usually do on Saturdays but instead I hung out with Trevor again and forced him to drive me to go get some sushi (yum). I know it seems like I’m with him a lot (I am) but recently, we haven’t really hung out that much because of exams and other personal issues I can’t discuss. Plus, he was going on vacation so we had to make up for lost time 🙂 After that, I just hung out with my family and did some last minute prep for Christmas!

Every Christmas morning, we open gifts before we go to church but this Christmas, because we were having a party, we opened majority of the gifts around midnight. I’ll most likely do a post of what I got this year before the end of the week so stick around for that! After that, our family friends came over and the last person didn’t leave till about 10pm (smh). I hid in my room for most of the party though because as we all know, I’m not a social butterfly and also because there were some really naughty children there and by children, I mean like 10 year olds who should know better lmao.

All in all, it was a really nice weekend! Although I got some gifts from family friends, I’m thankful the party is over tbh. Haha I hope everyone had a lovely weekend as well!

If you haven’t already, add me on snapchat: preciousss09, follow me on Instagram and let me know down below what you got for Christmas!Life with Precious
