Wow, it’s been a long time.
1 whole month, to be exact. Yikes. Honestly, I’m so sorry but this month has been extremely busy.
First, I want to say thank you to everyone who still emailed me and inquired about where I’ve been and stuff like that. You guys are one of the reasons why I love blogging so much.
I’ve been SO unbelievably busy and preoccupied for a number of reasons. Some having to do with assignments from school (this was from the beginning of February to the 17th) but mostly to do with room renovations (After the 17th, I had a week off school and that was all I did). YES, I am in the process of renovating my entire bedroom and I’m so so excited, you have no idea! Although, I’m ecstatic about this, it’s been so hectic and way more work than I expected it to be. I had to box and pack up literally everything in my room, make time to hang out and have fun, go to work and most importantly, make time to play toy blast (jk ish).
I’ve been documenting part of the process on Snapchat but what I haven’t mentioned is that I also got new furniture! My wallpaper is coming off and in addition to all 4 walls, my ceiling, door and closet will also be painted. It’s all going to look so different and I can’t wait. I’ll consider doing a room tour once everything is done, what do you think?
Anyway, enough rambling about my room. Some of the highlights of February included:
Feb. 10: I went to a party at a bar and had my very first Shirley Temple! It was SO good. Looking forward to it again!
Feb. 14: Valentine’s Day. I had spent the previous week planning a romantic candlelight (candlelit?) dinner for Trevor and I and he had no idea! I told him to let me figure out what the plan was and I made him think we were going out. Instead, I made Caesar Salad, bought some sushi, made Fettucine Alfredo with shrimp & bacon and I brought home an icecream ‘cupid cake’ I made at work. I also made some chocolate covered strawberries for later in the night! It was the perfect evening and I’m so lucky to have someone as loving and caring as him.
He also bought me the prettiest S’Well bottle ever!
Feb. 26: I went to a board game cafe and I’m pretty sure it was the best date Trev and I have ever gone on. Then again, I say that about every date haha. In case you don’t know what a game cafe is, it’s just a cafe where you pay like 5 or 6 bucks and play as many board games as you want, as many times as you like and for however long you wish; typically about 3 hours but it could be longer depending on if they’re busy or not. If you like a board game, you have the option to purchase it from their gift store. They also have snacks, sandwiches, burgers, etc. and it’s always great munching on something while playing board games! We got quesadillas to share and then Trevor got a wrap & potato wedges while I got a sandwich & potato wedges. We fell in love with a board game called Mr. Jack, it was so much fun, we plan to go back ASAP and hopefully purchase it!
All in all, it was a great month even though I spent majority of it packing up 8 years of my life haha. Another thing I wanted to mention was that for the remainder of the school term, I’ll only publish a Weekend Chronicle post when something fun happens during the weekends. I find that since 2nd semester started, all I do during the weekends is work, do school assignments and watch some shows on Netflix. Not very exciting!
It’s been great writing about all I did this month for you guys. Thanks for not forgetting about me, you all rock!
