Like I mentioned here, my sister, Serena turned 16 in March and graduated in June so it was a very eventful year for her. I decided to dedicate this post to her and add some pictures from her graduation to my collection of memories on Life with Precious.
Her convocation was in the morning and the grad dinner/dance was in the evening so we got the same guy that took my 18th birthday pictures to come with us to the convocation and then also got him to take some pictures of her before we went to the dinner/dance. There were over 300 pictures but these are the ones I feel really captured the whole event so enjoy!
NOTE: The front of her diploma or whatever you call it is blurred out for privacy reasons and I didn’t post any pictures of our friends and extended family members, again for privacy reasons.
Random but relevant story:
When my sister finished grade 9 and we went to her grad party, I was more dressed up than she was and I took way more pictures with teachers than she did, even though I wasn’t a student there at the time and it wasn’t my grad. This was probably because Serena hated posing for pictures, I loved posing and my mom loved to take them! All that being said, here’s a picture of me with her hat on just because and also because I’m an attention seeker when I’m with my family!
A little Appreciation Post
Serena, you are the best sister anyone could ever ask for, there’s no one I would have rather grown up and shared my life with. Anytime I think back to things we’ve gone through, I thank God again for blessing me with someone as kind, smart and generous (most times) as you are. It goes without saying that I’m unbelievably proud of you and that you have a bright future ahead of you. This is a little reminder that you can do literally anything you set your mind to and no matter what happens in life, I’ll be right here, along with Mom, being your #1 fan and cheering you on.
Congratulations once again on all you’ve achieved and I pray for nothing but the best for you. I love you so much!
