Happy Halloween, everyone!
Believe it or not, this was my first year “celebrating” Halloween. I guess a more accurate statement would be that this was the first time I even acknowledged the holiday since I still didn’t do much celebrating.
I grew up not being fond of it and to be completely honest, I’m still not but I gotta say it was so much fun dressing up for the social at my University.
I went with Trevor (he wore a dino onesie lol) to the social on the 28th and I chose to unleash my inner goddess. Many of you already know I either go big or go home or in other words, I’m extra af so I ended up getting my mom to sew a white, off the shoulder floor length dress for me and I paid someone to do my makeup as well. I used gold accessories to compliment my outfit and it came out so beautifully, I had to share! Like I’m definitely not trying to toot my own horn but damn, I looked and felt like a goddess.
This picture isn’t the best but first of all, I need to say how proud I am of myself for making this really pretty head piece using a plain velvet headband, a glue gun and some gold leaves, all from the dollar store!
Second of all, I didn’t take too many pictures at the social but these are some from before:
Makeup and photo creds go to my awesome makeup artist, Asiyah. She was so sweet and knew exactly what I wanted. I honestly loved the makeup look so much, it was simple in the sense that it wasn’t too overdone or too dramatic but it still got the point across.
Another thing I want to mention is that I have super oily skin but the picture down below is literally how I looked even after dancing and hanging around for like 3+ hours. My face wasn’t oily and I never had to touch up anything (with the exception of my lips) which was definitely a big bonus!
I hope you guys have just as much fun, if not more! What are you doing today to celebrate? More importantly, what are you dressing as? Let me know!
